A legacy built on precision
Troy opened his first kitchen showroom in Oswaldtwistle, Lancashire in 1996, built around a simple idea: offer the best possible product for less. His career later took him into the high-end kitchen market, including work connected with Clive Christian and projects across the USA, Canada and the Caribbean, alongside deep experience specifying premium appliance brands including Wolf, Sub-Zero, Miele and La Cornue.
After returning to the UK, Troy saw a gap between very expensive luxury kitchen brands and lower-cost suppliers that compromised on materials. Handmade Kitchens Direct was created to bring high-end in-frame cabinetry, proper hardwood options and thoughtful design advice to customers at a more realistic price.

Made in our Lancashire workshop
The workshop is the heart of the business. CNC machinery brings precision, but every kitchen is still brought together by skilled cabinet makers who take pride in the details.
Troy oversees each project from design through to final assembly, with quality checks before the cabinetry is passed to our own delivery team.
